Pine Forest Garden Club 2015 Christmas Tour of Historical Homes in Appling County

PINE FOREST GARDEN CLUB PRESENTS 2015 CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HISTORICAL HOMES

A delightful author, from a town not too far from our own, once remarked, “I do not understand how anyone can live without some small place of enchantment to turn to”. These words spoken by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, writer of such famous works as The Yearling, seem especially appropriate to those of us blessed to live in this beautiful part of our state with it’s multitude of enchanted areas for us to explore.

The Pine Forest Garden Club Christmas Tour of Historical Homes presents an opportunity to explore just a few of those wonderful areas. In order to entice you even more, the enchantment will be magnified as the homes will be dressed in their Christmas finery!

The annual Tour of Homes will be held on December 6 from 2-5 P.M. Tickets are 10.00 each and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, various businesses throughout the area, and from Garden Club Members.

Homes on tour this year include, the home of Billy and Betty Lewis, the home of Jeff Lewis, the Lewis Guest Cottage, the home of Wayne and Linda Sellers and the home of our own resident author, The Caroline Miller Home.

This is the primary fundraiser for the Garden Club. The proceeds help fund two high school scholarships. In addition, your participation allows the club to carry out a variety of activities to beautify this area and to make this OUR small place of enchantment
